Pilates is a low impact, but high intensity workout that focuses on strengthening the intricate, deep muscles of your core and whole body.
The key Pilates principles—centering, concentration, control, precision, breath and flow—are much the same as those called for in stability ball work. Like Pilates, the ball has proved very successful in the areas of core development and balance training.
Whether you are pregnant, a new mum or are wanting to improve your core strength and balance as you get older these two methods complement each other providing you with a fantastic work out.
